With the purchasing power of our suppliers, we are able to provide you and your students with the very best airline prices available. Based upon your needs, we can provide you with just the right combination of destination, quality and price to fit your budget. During our 15 years of business we have produced hundreds of quality domestic and international performing tours. Hundreds of directors from Jr. High School through university level continue to place their confidence in American Classic for their music travel needs. Can you arrange for my group to take part in a Music Festival in the city of my choice? Yes. Based on your dates of travel and destination, we will offer you all available festival options including our own festivals in the city of your choice. Can you arrange performances in the city we wish to go to rather than participation in a festival? Yes. American Classic can arrange performance in lieu of or in addition to Festival participation on both domestic and international music tours. Do you arrange for air as well as bus transportation? Our relationship with airline wholesalers allows us to negotiate the very best in airfares for your students. We have an extensive list of bus operators from which to select; however, if you have a company with whom you are satisfied, we can make the arrangements with them for you or you may handle that yourself. Can you send me samples of tours to the destination of my choice? We have sample itineraries that include all the best attractions in many different cities. These can give you an idea of what other groups have done and help you determine how your tour might be constructed. Can you design a customized tour for me rather than a standard set of inclusions? All our tours are constructed to meet the specific requirements of each Director. You can have exactly what you want. If we choose a performing tour, what about audiences? For tours to destinations here in the U.S. we will research and offer you a variety of possibilities for concerts. They may range from a public performance in front of the Lincoln Center in New York, to a childrenÕs hospital in San Francisco, to a school with a group similar to yours Š perhaps even a joint concert with an ensemble from the host school. When traveling abroad, we work with our network of contacts who specialize in finding unique performances opportunities such as world famous jazz festivals, public areas in foreign cities, joint performances with a local group, or performances in beautiful churches or performance halls. The primary aim is to find a venue that will best feature your group, provide them with a thrilling experience, and most of all, an appreciative audience. Do you send someone with us to help manage the details of the tour? Every aspect of our performing tours, both in the U.S. and abroad are set up to your exact specifications. If your tour is to a destination in the U.S., we can send a Tour Manager to handle all the details from airline tickets to hotels to guides, buses, and attractions for you. If the destination is one with which you are familiar and this level of service is not necessary, we can still provide you with contact numbers and emergency numbers to ensure that you have help if it is needed. We can also arrange for a local guide to meet and assist you while in your destination city Š itÕs your choice. If your tour is to a foreign destination you will always have an experienced Tour Manager with you. The Tour Manager is there to see to the daily details so you can focus on your Music Tour experience. In locales where language is an issue a multi-lingual guide will be with you. What do you need to know from me in order to get a proposal in my hands? We need to know first what your destination choice will be. Depending on whether we will be making arrangements for your group to fly or go by bus, we will need to know (if flying) what airport you will be departing from. Next we would need to know the dates upon which you plan to travel, how many students & adults you plan to take, the number of days you would like to travel, and a general estimate of what your budget might be. We need to know if you wish us to place your group in a music festival or if it will be a cultural or performing tour. Any special requests such as hotel type, attractions that you know you want to include, and number of meals would be helpful. If you donÕt know all the details prior to our first conversation, thatÕs O.K. We can help you develop these details. Can you provide me with references from other groups that have used your services? During our 15 years of music festival and performing tour experience we have helped hundreds of groups have life changing musical and cultural experiences from Orlando to San Francisco and from Peru to Russia and Europe. We have letters of recommendation from major College and University Music Directors as well as High School and Jr. High Directors that we are pleased to send to you. How much time do I need to plan an International Tour? A high quality international tour can be created in as little as ninety days. The length of time necessary for individual groups to accomplish their fund raising can vary widely depending on resources. Most groups allow from 12 Š 18 months for this process. Can you arrange for my group to participate in festivals overseas? Yes. There are many high quality music festivals that take place at various times of the year in many popular foreign destinations. When we plan your tour, we will explore the availability based on the time frame of your travel plans. Often we are able to arrange for groups to participate in special events such as the Montreux Jazz Festival as well as other well-known events. How do I get started?
