Since 1989, American Classic Music Festivals has been offering positive musical experiences for beginner level elementary school groups to the most accomplished high school ensembles.
Our Breckenridge, Colorado Alpine Festival and our Dallas, San Antonio, and Texas festivals are open to bands, choirs and orchestras with competitive and non-competitive options available. You, the director, select the level of challenge for your ensemble.
The highly competitive Madrigal and Chamber Choir Festival focuses on high school level chamber and madrigal choirs with twenty-four singers or less. The Madrigal and Chamber Choir Festival includes adjudication and a thirty-minute clinic.
The Kidz 'n the Park Festival is for elementary and middle school level choral groups and is intended to motivate and inspire younger singers.
Our Crescent City Jazz Festival in New Orleans is open to instrumental jazz ensembles and includes the opportunity to perform with professional musicians.
Trophies are awarded in all classifications. Outstanding soloist medals may be awarded at the discretion of the adjudicators.
There is no required music list at American Classic festivals. You choose selections that are appropriate for your group.
Adjudication panels are chosen from credentialed, highly qualified music educators. Band/Orchestra panels consist of three instrumental specialists. Choir panels consist of three vocal specialists. A mixed vocal/instrumental panel will never be used.
