Q: What criteria will be used for determining the awards?
A: Tone quality, tuning, marching fundamentals
Q: How much is the registration fee?
A: $100 registration fee per non-competition group (comments, achievement award only) $125 registration fee for Best in Class/Best in Festival competition entry.
Q: When is the registration and video entry deadline?
A: The registration deadline is November 10, 2020. The entry deadline is November 20, 2020.
Q: When will results be available?
A: Performance results will be announced by December 1, 2020.
Q: Who will see these video recordings?
A: Only the evaluator assigned to your group’s category will have access to video recordings.
Q: What are the performance requirements?
A: Any performance or practice video recording, 4 minutes minimum; 8 minutes maximum.
Q: What are the competition categories?
A: 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A division II (100 or less), 6A division II (100 or less), 5A division I (101+), 6A division I (101+) There will also be a military marching category and evaluator.
Q: What are the uniform requirements?
A: Formal or informal band uniform.
Q: How will I receive feedback on the performance?
A: The evaluator will review the performance video and record real-time comments plus email written comments.
