Sample Itinerary

Day One Travel Day Houston

  • Arrive Houston International Airport, Houston, TX (IAH)
  • Check in at your regularly scheduled carrier for flight to Munich.
  • Pass through passport and security formalities.
  • Depart IAH for Munich via regularly scheduled carrier.
  • Your service includes meals, entertainment package and reclining seats.

Day Two Saltzburg

  • Arrive Munich, Franz Josef Int’l Airport (MUC).
  • Clear German Immigration and Customs formalities.
  • After customs, meet your full time tour manager. S/He will wait for you with a personalized sign.
  • Ride in quiet comfort to Salzburg, Austria city center via private motor coach.
  • Check in to your centrally located hotel, the Austria Trend, or similar.
  • Take a moment to unpack, relax and enjoy some downtime.
  • Hungry? Your included dinner will be either at the hotel or a restaurant nearby.
  • Join your tour manager for a brief stroll through the neighborhood to view this amazingly picturesque city known for its musical accomplishments.
  • Tired? Return to your hotel for a restful night’s sleep in a comfortable bed.
  • The included dinner tonight will be at a typical local Austrian restaurant.

Day Three Saltzburg

  • You will have your included buffet breakfast at your hotel.
  • Ready? Meet your tour manager in the hotel.
  • And now? Depart for a walking tour with your English-speaking guide for a full day in this magical city. Your will enjoy seeing the Mirabell Gardens, the Getreidergasse and Mozart’s birthplace.
  • Your morning walk will end at the Dom (the Cathedral).
  • This amazing edifice will astound you with its beauty and second largest church bell of Austria. The bell was forged in the seventeenth century.
  • Hungry? Take time to “essen und trinken” at one of the many small restaurants.
  • After your meal, you will give a performance at the famous Cathedral.
  • Afterwards take the tram up to the Hohensalzburg fortress.
  • This imposing fortress was erected as a protector of the city but never was used as such. The guide will explain the history and significance of the amazing building.
  • Descend to the ‘altstadt’ (old city) via tram and enjoy free time.
  • Dinner is included either at your hotel or restaurant nearby.

Day Four Munich

  • You will have your included buffet breakfast at your hotel.
  • You will travel through Bavaria today to Oberfammergau.
  • Stretch your legs during a walk through this small town, home to the “Passion Play” presented once every ten years. Its unique buildings, decorated by the owners, will amaze you in their beauty and historical significance.
  • Hungry? You will have time to have lunch after your guided stroll.
  • And now? Board your bus for Neuschwanstein Castle near Munich.
  • You will be fascinated by this 19th century complex of King Ludwig. Your guide will show you the gardens and the tricks of “crazy” King Ludwig’s summer home.
  • Tired? Relax on your bus as you arrive in Munich in the early evening.
  • Check in to your local hotel, the Angelo, or similar.
  • Essen und trinken? Enjoy both music and dinner at Munich’s famous ratskeller. You may be called upon to join in the “Musik und Gesang” (music and song) during your included three-course dinner.
  • Exhausted? Now it is time to sleep in a comfortable bed as you prepare for your ‘Munchen” visit.

Day Five Munich

  • You will have your included buffet breakfast at your hotel.
  • Travel in your private bus for a tour of Bavaria’s capital and home to 1.5 million.
  • Your day begins with a view of Nymphenburg Palace, a Baroque complex and summer residence to the Bavarian monarchy.
  • You will visit the BMW Welt complex to see its exhibition of opulent and exotic vehicles.
  • Finally you will walk through the city center with your guide to view the old and new Town Hall and Opera house. You will see and hear the famous ‘glockenspiel’.
  • Hungry? You will have time for an independent lunch ‘Innenstadt’ (downtown).
  • And now? Afterwards you will have your included concert at Bad Aibling (Kleiner Konzertsall Kurhaus/Eilhelm-Leibl-Platz). This Bavarian venue is spectacular and special.
  • You will have time to ‘essen und trinken’ in the spa town.
  • Your private bus will return you to Munich later in the evening.

Day Six Nurenburg

  • You will have your included buffet breakfast at your hotel.
  • Travel by private motor coach to Nurenburg, famous for its medieval ‘aldstadt’ (old town).
  • Your trip will cross beautiful fields, hills and the views of the Alps are astounding.
  • Upon arrival your guide will direct you to the ‘aldstadt’ where you can have a relaxing and well-deserved independent lunch.
  • Some may want to enter and see the Nazi Party Museum nearby.
  • Others may want to spend time shopping, snapping pictures or relaxing in a café.
  • Regroup for a walking city tour that will that will bring you to the Kaiserburg Castle, many medieval fortifications, the church of St. Lawsrence and finally the house of Albrecht Duerer, Nurenburg’s most famous artist.
  • Check in to your local hotel, the Wohrdersee, or similar.
  • Relax and refresh before your included dinner.
  • “Essen und trinken? Ja!” Your included dinner will be at the Heilig Geist Spital, famous for its ‘Wurstchen’ (sausages).
  • Tired? Enjoy a comfortable bed for your overfnight stay.

Day Seven Leipzig

  • You will have your included buffet breakfast at your hotel.
  • Board your bus for a guided tour of Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage site
  • Your guided tour will take you through this quaint medieval town to the famous Gothic Cathedral.
  • This afternoon will be free or a relaxing lunch, perhaps at a local ‘biergarten’, or personal exploration as you meander through the ‘aldstadt’.
  • Regroup and travel through the Alps to Leipzig.
  • You will arrive in the early evening and check in to your local hotel, the Leipzig Messe or similar.
  • Relax and refresh before your included dinner at the hotel or nearby restaurant.

Day Eight Leipzig

  • You will have your included buffet breakfast at your hotel.
  • Travel by motor coach with your guide to visit Dresden.
  • Enjoy a guided tour of this restored city which was completely destroyed in WW2. You will be shocked at its authentic restoration and beauty of the Frauenkirchen (Church of Our Lady).
  • Time for ‘essen und trinken’ as you have lunch in the ‘platz’ at one of its local restaurants.
  • In the late afternoon with your guide you will view the famous Zwinger Palace and the Alte Meister Gallery.
  • Tired? Relax and enjoy your return trip to Leipzig.
  • And now? Either collapse for a rest or go out and enjoy an independent dinner.

Day Nine Berlin

  • You will have your included buffet breakfast at your hotel.
  • Meet your guide for a walk through this famous city including the Church of St Thomas. Feel the ‘musician’s vibes’ as you realize that Johann Sebastian Bach was the Choirmaster in this magnificent religious building. You may be able to hear either its famed music as played on the church’s majestic organ.
  • Hungry? You will have lunch an independent at one the small restaurants nearby.
  • Check out from your hotel and travel through Germany to Berlin, the country’s capital.
  • Relax on your private bus and upon arrival check into the Hotel Park Inn or similar.
  • And now? Have an included dinner before a rehearsal at Trinitatis Church
  • Wow! Your rehearsal will be with the Trinitatis Church choir!
  • Tired? Enjoy a comfortable bed for your overnight stay.

Day Ten Berlin

  • You will have your included buffet breakfast at your hotel.
  • Meet your guide and driver as you relax and enjoy a city tour of Berlin.
  • Recognize the importance of the Brandenbert Gate, the Reichstag, Check Point                                             Charley and the East Side gallery. This is the longest existing part of the infamous Berlin Wall. You will also view the Charlottenburg Castle, the Ku-Dumm and Under den Linden streets as you hear of their significance to today’s united Germany.
  • Hungry? You will have lunch an independent at one the small restaurants nearby.
  • Regroup and board your bus for the short trip to Potsdam.
  • Potsdam is famous for the Sans Souci Palace and Gardens. You will enjoy them.
  • Return to Berlin to your hotel to take a well-deserved break before dinner.
  • Still tired? Why not either have dinner at your hotel or restaurant nearby.

Day Eleven Berlin

  • You will have your included buffet breakfast at your hotel.
  • And now? Meet your guide and board your bus for the short trip to the river.
  • The river Spree provides the perfect opportunity for seeing the sites and relaxing.
  • You will be able to appreciate the buildings the way it was done in ‘olden days’.
  • Hungry? Return to your hotel for lunch and a short break.
  • Regroup and travel by bus to Trinitatis Church for a performance.
  • For your finale, enjoy in a farewell dinner at a Berlin-style restaurant, the Alte Berliner.
  • You must be exhausted. Refresh yourself with a good night’s sleep in a comfy bed.

Day Twelve USA

  • You will either have a breakfast box provided or breakfast at your hotel.
  • Meet your guide and board your bus for the transfer to Berlin’s Tegel Airport (TXL).
  • Say ‘Auf Wiedersehn’ to your tour manager and check in for your international flight.
  • Pass through Passport Control and Security checkpoints.
  • Depart Berlin.
  • Arrive Houston.
  • Pass through United States passport control.
  • Retrieve your luggage; pass through US Customs.
  • Welcome home! “Essen und trinken?” How about a nice meal at home.
